Summer Exams 2025

Dear Parent/Carer,

As we approach exam week, we would like to inform you about the upcoming arrangements, scheduled to take place from Monday 2^nd to Friday 6^th June.   Pupils have been given their examination timetables.

Please take note of the following arrangements to ensure the smooth running of the exams:

Exam Schedule

• Monday 2^nd to Thursday 5^th June: Pupils will attend their assigned exam room each morning, where registration will be taken promptly before the first exam begins at 8.55am. Please ensure your child arrives on time.
• Friday 6^th June: School will be closed for all pupils (except for external GCSE examinations taking place on that day).

Exam Details

• Each exam will last 1 hour. Additional time will be given to those pupils entitled to it.
• Breaktime: 10:05 AM - 10:20 AM.
• The school day will finish at 12:45 PM, and pupils can be collected at that time.

Additional Information

• The canteen will be open from 12:45 PM to 1:05 PM for those wishing to purchase lunch. • A link bus will depart from the school at 1:05 PM for pupils traveling to the bus station, to allow pupils to get connecting buses home. Please check translink timetables to see when the next available bus departs.
• For those unable to leave at 12:45/1:05 PM, supervised revision will be available in the library until 3:15 PM.
• Year 11 pupils will follow a mixed schedule of exams and taught lessons.

Attendance for these year groups is mandatory throughout the week. We appreciate your cooperation in supporting your child’s preparation for the exams and ensuring they follow the outlined schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office.
