1st May 2025
Dear Parent/Carer
The majority of our year 11 pupils will be completing GCSE module exams over the next few weeks.
To support pupils with these examinations, we will allow pupils to complete study leave at home from Wednesday 7th – Friday 16th May. Classes will continue to run as normal and pupils are welcome to study in school if they would prefer. However, if they choose to study at home their attendance will not be penalised.
Please note: Due to GCSE English modules on Wednesday 7th May and GCSE Maths modules on Thursday 15th May, there will be no year 11 classes running on these days.
If a pupil wishes to study at home during the above dates, they only need to be in school when they have an exam. If they have an exam in the morning, they should go to registration as normal and then sign out at reception once the exam has finished. If they have an exam in the afternoon they should sign in and out at reception.
If there are any subjects that require pupils to be in class (to complete a task/course) their teachers will speak to their classes directly.
Pupils will be expected to attend SRC as normal on a Friday unless their course has finished. If their course has finished, Miss Abraham will give the pupil a letter and your child should return the signed reply slip.
Pupils should wear full school uniform for their exams or if studying in school.
Kind regards
K Mulholland
Principal
