Subject Overview | During their time learning about Technology and Design pupils will learn about; •The design process. This includes generating ideas using CAD or by freehand sketching. •Manufacturing. This involves learning about materials and making projects in the workshop. •Control Systems. This includes electronics, pneumatics and mechanisms. |
During their time learning about GCSE Technology and Design pupils will learn about; •All the topics that technology and design covers including, CAD/CAM, computer control, electronics, materials and processes, mechanisms and pneumatics. •Mechanical and Pneumatic control systems in a much more focused and deep way. •The different elements of how to design and manufacture a product using a design process. |
